Rejection Isn't The End

Hi friend,

Have you ever been rejected?

Maybe you didn't get into your dream college?

Or maybe you put your all into a project at work only for it to get shut down?

You are not alone.

After writing Bryson the Three-Legged Dog last fall, I sent it to a literary agent I’d been working with to see if she thought it could work as a children’s book. Although gracious, based on the realities of the market, she told me no.

However, by that point, I had already shared the story with a number of people and saw how moved they were by it. I knew I couldn’t let “no” be the end of the story.

After seeing the Bryson video touch numerous lives in the past few weeks and be seen nearly 12,000 times, I’m sure glad I didn’t.

It's easy for rejection to feel like a stumbling block, but it may actually be the stepping stone you need to get to where you want to go.

If you have a story you’re sitting on, let it out. Your story matters.

You may not get the answer you want at first, but keep going.

You’ll find a way. Don’t give up.

With love,
